Blam

Blam

Blam has constantly aimed to push the boundaries with the spray can by subverting the traditional imagery associated with graffiti art and pushing himself to explore the full range of what can be achieved with spray. Blams early influences were characters from Simon Bizley comics which inspired him to get drawing and creating his own images. Since emerging onto the graffiti scene in 2002 Blams style has evolved from hand drawing basic characters onto stickers to developing the characters into a more photorealistic image without using traditional skin tone colours. Probably best known for his Oscar the Grouch character in Shoreditch (thanks to the Council for cleaning it up all these years) his recent work has focused on challenging himself with different mediums including acrylic paint, Russian dolls and shot gun spray cans. The resulting work has been exhibited throughout London.
