Upfest in association with Tangent Books are extremely pleased to announce the launch on four iconic prints by world renown photographer Beezer.Now an acclaimed, music and fashion photographer in Tokyo where he has lived for almost 20 years, he left school in the early 80s with fairly low grades. He got on a photography course and started taking pictures of his friends on the emerging Bristol underground music scene at the Dug Out, The Crypt in St Paul's and at numerous illegal house parties.The resulting images are a unique record of the Bristol scene that revolved around The Wild Bunch and others which eventually produced Massive Attack, Tricky and Portishead. - Wild Bunch (80cm x 60cm)This iconic shot the the Wild Bunch at The Dug Out club on Park Row, Bristol was taken in 1984. It features (from left) DJ Milo, Daddy G, Nellee Hooper, Willee Wee and 3D. - St Paul's Carnival (80cm x 60cm)The Enterprise Sound System were one of the stalwarts of the St Paul's Carnival. This shot is from in 1984. - Life on The Bridge (80cm x 60cm)This incredible shot was taken for Bristol's Venue magazine in 1986. The guys are Clifton Suspension Bridge maintenance workers. - 3D (60cm x 60cm)3D was one of the original Bristol graffiti artists who went on to inspire a generation of writers including Inkie, Nick Walker and Banksy.
