Adam Briscoe

Adam Briscoe

Adam Briscoe is a South Yorkshire–based artist known for his unique cartoon style and signature “jelly people” characters. His work is playful, full of movement, and packed with detail, with soft, simple figures often getting up to mischief and creating lively, eye-catching scenes.

Growing up, Adam was heavily inspired by comics such as The Beano and other comic book–themed artwork. This early influence continues to shape his chaotic yet creative style, expressive characters, and sense of visual storytelling.

At first glance, his artwork appears clean and simple, but the longer you look, the more you begin to notice. Small details, hidden moments, and clever ideas are layered into every piece, making his work rewarding to explore.

Adam’s style also draws from modern illustration and street art, using bold lines and strong shapes to make his characters stand out. Even with minimal colour, his work feels bright, energetic, and full of life.

He creates across prints, canvases, and large-scale installations, with each piece maintaining a strong sense of personality, humour, and fun, inviting viewers to return again and again. This balance of simplicity and depth ensures his work remains accessible while offering layers of discovery for every audience he reaches today.
