Jagung

I'm Kong Chak Kiong, known in the art world as 'Jagung.' A self-taught muralist born in 1991, I hail from Malaysia with a passion for 3D realistic art. My travels around the globe fuel my creativity, with each journey imparting new cultural insights that translate into the vibrant spray paint murals I've been crafting since 2015. Travel, to me, is akin to painting—both involve a meticulous study of surroundings and a deep appreciation for minute details. My murals begin as blank canvases that evolve into 3D spectacles through a dance of warm and cool hues, culminating in my signature 'showstopper' technique of color inversion that adds a dynamic twist to my work. I openly welcome critiques, believing that growth lies in the confluence of diverse perspectives. My odyssey in art is one of perpetual learning, unfettered by the confines of formal education, and driven by an insatiable quest for knowledge through experience.
