Redcliffe & Temple BID funded a mural in the heart of Bristol on a rather unusual canvas, the Avon Fire & Rescue training tower. With the vision to develop Redcliffe & Temple into a vibrant, thriving, sustainable, safe and welcoming place to enjoy Upfest were brought in to find an artist that could fit the brief set. ‘Not just fires’ Avon Fire & Rescue wanted to show all aspects of the service including rope rescue, water rescue, road traffic collisions and control centres. The mural, painted by Hasan Kamil, featured real people who work for Avon Fire & Rescue and really brought the brief to life on the 10m tall wall.
