Bristol Zoo Project

For Bristol Zoo Project’s Easter activity program ‘Springfest’, Bristol Zoo got Upfest on board to present an art trail in their Tower Meadow. With the trail mown into the long grass visitors could feel immersed in the meadow and drawn onwards to explore the space. Visitors to the trail got to discover a series of bright and attractive artworks by street artists that looked forward to the future of the zoo at Wild Place Project. The artworks incorporated animal species that can be seen at the new Zoo (such as red pandas, rhinos and gorillas), and also explore artistic influences from cultures around the world where Bristol Zoo Project run field conservation programmes such as Costa Rica and Madagascar. Some artworks also highlighted the incredible British wildlife found on site, and focus on their conservation work here in the UK.

Artists included: Aspire, Bex Glover, Cheo, David Puck, Felix FLX Braun, Hasan Kamil, Sian Storey, Silent Hobo and Sophie Long
