Billie Appleton

Billie is a Bristol based 2D Artist and Art Director working in games and immersive theatre.

Working across digital and analogue mediums, she creates cluttered, playful, character driven illustration, telling stories and creating lived in worlds through cinematic use of light, colour and ( leaning into her dyspraxia ) gestural, wobbly line work.

Drawing inspiration from satire, folklore, amphomorphic archetypes and science fiction/ fantasy, she is interested in exploring themes related to cycles of joy and grief, loneliness and the fragility of having a body.
