Tova Persson

Tova Persson is a Swedish animation director and illustrator based in Bristol. Her work often draws inspiration from oil paintings and her Swedish roots, revolving around the humour of the strange and melancholic, frequently expressed through dramatic scenery and myths. SHe works in mediums varying from digital illustration, oil painting, to lino printing, enjoying every part of the process. Mainly working within children’s animation and short form films her roles have varied from character design, storyboarding, to production work behind the scenes for series like Horrible Science and Sesame Street. Her short film directorial debut Offerlamm has won multiple global recognitions, having been presented at Playgrounds in Motion and is part of the BFI Archive for Contemporary Animation.
