Alla Satir

Alaa Satir is a Sudanese visual artist currently based in South London, graduated from architecture school at university of Khartoum. Upon her graduation, Alaa ventured into the world of visual art, becoming a self-taught illustrator, street artist and political cartoonist. Her work became more widely known through large-scale mural paintings in Khartoum, during the 2018 Sudanese revolution. Her murals and cartoons usually offer critical insights into Sudanese society and politics while drawing inspiration from broader culture and everyday life.
