Festival Stalls

Upfest is a as a multi-venue urban festival with the 1.3km stretch of North Street in Bedminster at it's centre, connecting venues and painting locations. The multi-venue urban setting has given the festival it's transient feel, with visitors encouraged to explore and find whats around the next corner.

Upfest has always been serenaded by the sound of sweet music and this year will be no exception. We've roped in the expertise of some of Bristol's finest to deliver the rhythms that will get those feet moving and resonate those skillful hands of our painting artists, let the good vibes begin.

Since the festival's inception in 2008, it has been utilised as a platform by our nominated charity, NACOA - National Association for Children of Alcoholics to raise over £35,000 and more importantly gain awareness of the work they do to address the problems children have growing up in families where one or both parents suffer from alcoholism.

By offering your support as a volunteer you have the chance to be part of the Upfest crew that make the festival happen. We have plenty of different roles available, whatever your skills and abilities may be, and whether you're available before, during or after the festival - or all of the above!

Festival Information and FAQs

The festival is FREE to attend, we kindly ask that you buy a brochure to support the festival and our nominated charity. The street work traditionally painted during the festival weekend, will be created in the fortnight leading up to the festival weekend; giving more people the chance to witness these spectacular creations come to life first hand. The murals will be complete for viewing while over 250 artists paint live alongside music stages and food and drink experiences.

Upfest is for everyone with hundreds of families attending each year. Most artists will be happy to show you what they are creating and many bring their own children to the festival. Workshops and places to make mess will be in abundance so lets get creative! More TBC
