Danielle Clough

South African designer and fibre artist Danielle Clough uses thick, bright thread to create bold embroidery pieces. Starting out by doodling with a needle and thread three years ago, her work has grown to use everything from shoes, rackets and iron gates as surfaces for her stitches. Her subject matter includes nature, cult references, food animals and portraiture. Her aim is to revive this antiquated art form, and sew far sew good.
