Jenni Stuart

Jenni’s art practice is rooted in a love of colour, texture, and playful experimentation. Working primarily in mixed media, she creates vibrant, layered pieces that invite curiosity and close looking. She is drawn to the energy that emerges when bold palettes collide with tactile surfaces; drips, marks, and fragments building into something both chaotic and intentional.

Jenni’s approach is something instinctive and immersive; she feels as though she breathes in the things she sees, experiences, and absorbs, and breathes them back out through her work. Her surroundings play a vital role in shaping what she creates. Her upbringing, the place she calls home, and the everyday moments and details that often go unnoticed all feed into her process.
Layering is central to Jenni’s practice, allowing each piece to evolve organically over time. She embraces spontaneity and imperfection, letting materials interact freely and responding intuitively as the work develops. The result is a balance between control and freedom, where structure meets play.
