Kid Acne

Kid Acne (b. Malawi, 1978) is a UK-based artist, illustrator and emcee. His work fuses folklore, symbolic imagery and a distinctive graphic language shaped by three decades of DIY culture. Emerging from the world of fanzines, graffiti and experimental Hip-Hop he produced as a teenager throughout the 1990s, his practice is rooted in hand-drawn typography, printmaking and narrative-driven mark-making.

Working across murals, silkscreen editions and a wide range of self-published projects, he blends esotericism, humour and everyday urban landscapes to create new environments that feel both otherworldly and future-facing. This approach underpins the recurring characters, rituals and motifs that define his current studio work.
