LimaLima

Limalima is a painter and mural artist based in France and working internationally. She began her career in 2005 as a decorative painter, collaborating with live performance, audiovisual, and event industries, which allowed her to explore diverse techniques and visual environments.
Over time, her practice evolved toward a more personal expression. In 2013, she initiated her work in public space through a project in the Middle East, inspired by local culture and craftsmanship. This experience marked a turning point, leading her to develop large-scale mural work and immersive environments.
Her work focuses on the human figure and the living world, while also exploring landscapes, the sea, and animals. She often places the human presence within poetic and dreamlike compositions, balancing realism and imagination.
Her artistic approach moves between urban art and studio practice, each informing the other. She works with various media, including ink, acrylic, and layered textures. Her palette is characterized by cool tones, especially blues, contrasted with vibrant colors and soft pastels, with a particular attention to light and colored shadows. Drawing inspiration from travel, photography, and collected imagery, Limalima creates sensitive, evocative works that invite a dialogue with the viewer.
