Meld

Meld started painting graffiti 20 years ago, working in isolation in the rural Essex countryside. He has moved through several styles, from traditional letter based pieces to wildstyles and abstracts.  Recently his painting and drawing work has focussed on junkyard cars, hybrid animal fruits, found objects and museum artifacts. 

Meld is interested in developing new narratives within his graffiti by combining and juxtaposing imagery from high and low brow sources, creating disconnected sequences of deformed  cartoon like objects hinting at hidden and disguised letter forms.
