Sketchy

I am a 22 yr old, artist originally from South Africa but been living in the UK for the past 8 years. The name Sketchy is something my friend Elf and I came up with. It's a term used to describe an untrustworthy  person or situation. As well as the art practice to sketch. I always liked the idea that art can have a positive impact on people, and as it is just honest expression art transcends barriers of language and circumstance. So I wanted my art to be something that everyone could find something relatable in. I work mostly as an illustrator, but do a lot of big live art pieces. During the summer I work for festival building installations and live painting during the festival. I enjoy working large scale as well as small, and use a lot of different mediums when building installations. This is my first time painting at the Urban Arts Festival and I'm honoured they'd have me.
