My work focuses on challenging perceptions of identity and space through distortion.
I strive to do this by the following processes:
- Painting portraiture with holds up an imperfect human mirror to identity.
- Developing interactive art in public realms to transform neglected space.
- delivering projects with communities and young people to change perceptions and connect people to place using visual arts.
My work often aims to create a dialogue between people, place and their sense of identity. Urban art allows me to engage people on an everyday level, without the barriers to access which gallery and exhibition spaces can sometimes present.
