Luke Palmer aka Acerone has over 20 years experience of working with youth and community groups, using art, creativity and hip hop culture as a way to celebrate freedom of self expression. Don’t miss the chance to work alongside Acerone and create your very own personalised piece of street art.

UPFEST PRESENTS Rocking Records- Mindful LP Mandalas - 12-6pm at Tobacco Factory

Why not boost your health and wellbeing by joining Jo from Craftysew&so in using LP records as an unconventional canvas and bright acrylic pens to create colourful, mindful mandalas. Or alternatively experiment with the materials and create your own fun and inspiring design, both are welcome.

UPFEST PRESENTS Watercolour Galaxy Painting 12-6pm at Tobacco Factory

Come along and learn to paint a watercolour galaxy,

In this workshop we will learn how to work with watercolour paints, how to bleed colours into each other, some brush techniques and how to use salt to create some amazing effects. Paintings will then need to dry for a couple of hours and on collection (when they are dry) we can flick some stars on top for extra effect.

UPFEST PRESENTS Lino Print Your Own Sew on Patches -  1pm  & 2.15pm at Tobacco Factory 

Make your own lino printed patches with Shannon from Paige and Wynter. Dream up your design, cut it into a block of lino and transfer it onto funky squares of fabric. Pin, stitch or glue them to your clothes and bags!

UPFEST PRESENTS A talk with Cristian Zuzunaga of Frankenstein Press on Identity through colour and pattern – 6pm at Frankenstein Press

In the presentation, Christian will be delving into the theme of identity as expressed through his artistic work, with a particular emphasis on the exploration of colour and pattern.
