Wilder Street Murals | Upfest

Wilder Street Murals

Consultation open Thursday 14th January until Thursday 28th January 2021.

We are inviting you to help co-design three new murals for Stokes Croft! The murals, which have been commissioned by Watkin Jones, will be installed on three elevations of the new Nido Student accommodation building which is currently under construction on Wilder Street, Stokes Croft.

The three artworks (one large and two smaller) is an opportunity to make the brand new accommodation look and feel like a part of Stokes Croft. This is an amazing opportunity to work with Upfest, Europe’s largest live street art and graffiti festival, and Bristol-based street artist Gage Graphics, to come up with a visionary and stunning design.

Bristol artist Gage aka Ollie Gillard was put forward by Upfest to a panel of interested parties along with eight other artists. It was a close run selection process with Ollie's story telling ability and overall aesthetic coming out on top.

Stokes croft, widely known as one of the cultural hubs of the city has a diverse population, the energy and uniqueness of the area is expected to be represented through Ollie's artwork.

Have your say, proceed to online survey, it'll take just a couple of minutes of your time.

Many thanks

Gage & the Upfest Crew
