Welcome to UPFEST PRESENTS Workshops, Talks, Tours and a whole lot more, In partnership with Yuup.
17th May - 2nd June: This year, Upfest returns as UPFEST PRESENTS... a 17-day cultural programme, In place of its weekend festival in the park. UPFEST PRESENTS will pop-up at multiple venues across BS3 with free to attend workshops, live painting, artist talks, arts activities, panel discussions, and Street Art Tours.
They say nothing in life is free, well they’re wrong, UPFEST PRESENTS is! With support from Arts Council England and our other partners including POSCA, mt Masking Tape, Faber-castell and of course Yuup, we’ve been able to bring you Free Ticketed and drop-in workshops, talks, tours, book signings all with a creative spin.
Our programme of workshops sits alongside 17 days of Mural Painting and music from over 200 artists, have a break between workshops be sure to visit our exhibition spaces at the Upfest Gallery, Tobacco Factory, North Street Standard & St Pauls Crypt (24th – 26th May), picking up a piece of artwork at Upfest not only supports all the artists but helps Upfest continue for years to come.

Upfest has worked on multiple place making initiatives including the Bristol Hearts, In collaboration with We Are Plaster, Bristol Business Improvement District and Visit Bristol we designed and painted 374 socially distanced giant hearts across 3 sites in Bristol city centre for the #BristolTogether campaign. These hearts were to encourage and promote the safe reopening of our city after the lockdown of 2020.

MORE INFO HERECaryn Koh is an artist from Malaysia based in Swindon, U.K. Previously being in the medical field, she has since rediscovered her passion in the arts. She graduated from Dasein Art Academy in her hometown and was presented with the Outstanding Achievement Award in Fine Arts. She is part of a female street artists art collective called WOM Collective in London, United Kingdom.
She paints in brushes and rollers in semi realism expressionist style, mainly choosing female figurative with symbolism as her subject. She creates introspective and touching works often drawing inspiration from her personal life and relationships. She explores themes of life and suffering, implementing three dimensional elements into some of her emotional murals which expand the impact of her artwork into the real-world.
She has also painted murals extensively in different regions of United Kingdom namely London, Bristol, Swindon, Leicester, Blackburn and the Lake District, Malaysia, Spain, Germany, Philippines as well as Jogjakarta.
