Since our first festival in 2008, it has always been free to register for an artist space, and for visitors to attend. We want to keep it that way so this year we'll be adapting our approach and hosting a 17 day cultural programme.
Instead of our weekend festival in the park, Upfest will return in 2024 in a new guise, with new artworks being painted across 2 weeks. UPFEST PRESENTS...will pop-up at multiple venues across Bedminster and wider BS3 with free to attend workshops, live painting, artist talks, arts activities, panel discussions, theatre, comedy and tours exploring the area.
Get involved, help make UPFEST PRESENTS even more spectacular!
Artist registration is now Closed

MORE INFO HEREInfused with a fierce femininity, Mishfit’s work occupies the hinterland between street art & fine art painting. Leaving her mark on concrete and canvas for nearly 20 years, she has painted internationally from the streets from Melbourne to the walls of Upfest and many places in between.
Mishfit works out of her studio in Brighton, and draws on a broad spectrum of inspiration, from old master paintings and japanese Ukiyo-e, to abstract realism and retro-futurism. Exploring themes of female empowerment, transformation, defiance, and strength in the face of adversity.
She has become well know for the use of clouds in her work and her dreamlike luminous cloudscapes and surreal botanicals, are a metaphor for human emotion. Transporting the viewer to worlds of wonder and self discovery. Using a vivid colour palette and expressive mark making in spray paint and oil paint, her work is infused with energy and contrast, capturing the raw process of creativity for everyone to see .
