Volunteering

We’re back with a 17 day programme of live painting and events across BS3, from 15th-31st May. We’ve got some great opportunities to get involved as an Upfest volunteer.

Want to be part of the crew that makes things happen? We’ve got plenty of different roles available, whatever your skills and abilities may be. We need volunteers to help out before, during, and after the event – the more hands the better!

We’re looking for enthusiastic people, who want to be part of a team that work hard and have a whole lot of fun along the way.

Due to our capacity to supervise volunteers, all volunteers must be over 18.

Volunteering Roles

Here is a short description of the roles available at UPFEST PRESENTS. Please note the dates are advisory at this stage. You wouldn’t need to be available for all the dates we just ask that you can be available for a minimum of 4 hours

Pre-festival Prep

This takes place at our warehouse, and involves prepping boards, and signage, sorting painting kit, sorting workshop kit.

When: Weekends and Evenings from 1st March

Wall Preparation

This take place throughout Bedminster, painting the existing and new walls in preparation for the artists arrival. Some of these require the use of scaffold and scissor lifts, but don’t worry if you’re not good with heights we have lots of ground level ones too.

When: Anytime from 2nd – 24th May

Admin

Assisting the team, with updating the website and general planning and admin.

When: 1st March – 31st May

Artist Liaison Roles

This is a difficult role to describe as each artist has different needs, from mixing paint, holding ladders and some liaisons with the right skill sets even get the chance to assist with painting.

When: 15th – 31st May (need to be available for a whole day)

Production Runner

Assisting the team both in the gallery and on the street with general set up and preparation. Driving license would be helpful as may involve visits to local suppliers
