Upfest has worked on multiple place making initiatives including the Bristol Hearts, In collaboration with We Are Plaster, Bristol Business Improvement District and Visit Bristol we designed and painted 374 socially distanced giant hearts across 3 sites in Bristol city centre for the #BristolTogether campaign. These hearts were to encourage and promote the safe reopening of our city after the lockdown of 2020. Time spent in lockdown inspired many Bristolians to rediscover their love for reading, and Upfest, together with Bristol Libraries are calling on the public to share passages from their favourite lockdown reads in a new public art project for Fishponds Library.

Unlock the city’s best kept secrets this September... Working with theatre makers, poets, ship captains and graffiti artists, Bristol Open Doors have created three immersive audio tours that tell the stories of our city, featuring a cast of characters and local legends.
